This week’s guest is Shari Shink, child advocate and founder of the Rocky Mountain Children’s Law Center. The Children’s Law Center works to prevent abuse, to protect children who have suffered devastating maltreatment and to prepare children for a future that is abuse free — a life full of promise and hope. Shari founded The Children’s Law Center over 30 years ago after witnessing an injustice in a custody hearing for a disabled child, and she vowed to do everything in her power to prevent that from ever happening again. On Wednesday, December 3 (which happens to be Shari’s birthday!), Shari and Jon talk about Shari’s 30+ years in child advocacy touching on its three main pillars: legal counsel, education, and public policy reform.
