We’ve got the owner of FastFrame of LoDo Jarrod Perrott on this week’s show. Jarrod is a successful small businessman who bought this store in 2009 at the height of the recession and has turned it into a terrific success. He takes us through the first days and figuring his way around his new business, talks about how he’s established relationships with most of the sports teams in Denver, shares his philosophy of being friendly with his competitors, and basically shows himself to be a conscientious entrepreneur and an all-around good dude.
We also spend some time talking about Jarrod’s history directing camp classic Face Eater, what he considers the most harrowing day each year for his shop, and an interesting story about his correspondence with Dick Monfort, owner of the Colorado Rockies. This episode has a ton of digressions, and the one about Dick Monfort surprised me, and I think it will surprise you, too.
And because everyone loves dogs, here’s a photo of the FastFrame of LoDo shop mascot, Helton, who recently celebrated his 3rd birthday. Happy birthday, little guy!
