Reed Saunders is the Voice of Coors Field. He has served as the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies since 2007, and has also served as the public address announcer for the Colorado Eagles since the team’s inception in 2003. On this week’s show, we talk about how Reed came to replace the iconic Alan Roach as the Voice of Coors Field, what his gameday is like, how he takes care of his voice, and just how demanding it is working more than 120 nights per year with a day job, a wife, and two young children.
You might recognize Reed from this classic Rockies ad in 2009. And yes, that’s his real wife, too.
Reed does take on side projects such as commercial voiceover work, industrial voiceover work, and he’ll even announce you at your wedding. Just get in touch with him at Reed_Saunders [at] yahoo (dot) com.
