Coming This Week (9.28.15): Eric Farone and Denise Maes

This week’s guests are Eric Farone and Denise Maes, co-founders of the Bovine Metropolis Theater, the first dedicated school and theater for improvisation in the Rocky Mountain region and teaches the art of accepting the unknown gracefully.

Having just completed Improv Level 1 at the Bovine, I was jazzed to learn about the Theater’s origins, how Eric and Denise got their start in improv, and what else the Bovine does (which includes corporate training – which is something I also do!). Admittedly, I’m a huge comedy geek, having seen shows at both Second City and iO in Chicago, read biographies of Chris Farley, Tina Fey, books by people like Mike Sacks, and taping stand-up comedy off of Showtime and HBO from the time I was 13, so I couldn’t wait to dig in with people who do this for a living.

If you’re at all wired the same way, you’ll love this week’s episode. And I’ll bet you could stand to incorporate some of the principles of improv into your own life. Find out how on Wednesday, September 30. Available on iTunes and Stitcher.
