This week’s guest is Joe Kempter, stay-at-home dad to his 10 month-old son, Landon. Consider this episode the b-side of last week’s episode with Steph Antoun, as we flip the script and talk about Joe’s day-to-day life raising his young son, his decision to stay home, and some of the weirdness he gets from folks who seem surprised to see a man out with his son during the day. This is all part of my road to becoming a father, and it was a privilege to chat with Joe about how fatherhood has changed his life, all for the better.
In addition to being a domestic dude, Joe also works with Pampaw’s BBQ Products. Pampaw’s has run in Joe’s wife’s family for generations, and boasts a delicious lineup of bbq sauces, hot sauces, dry rubs, and more. Joe dropped me an assortment of sauces, and they’ve all been delicious. My favorite has been the Original BBQ Sauce, as it’s served as an amazing compliment to my pulled pork. Tangy, savory, and with a bit of bite – I’m a big fan of this sauce.
