Josh Martin played seven seasons in the NFL and got an Ivy League education at Columbia University. He’s returned to Denver to open a Smoothie King franchise in the Central Park neighborhood.
He joins me to discuss his NFL career as we discuss a multitude of facets of it. What was his first day like? How did he establish his reputation through grinding on special teams? Who was the toughest tight end to cover? Toughest stadium to play in? How did he know it was over, and what happened? We then pivot into entrepreneurship and talk about how he came to Smoothie King, how the lessons learned in professional football translated to entrepreneurship, and what sets Smoothie King apart. That snapshot barely scratches the surface of a terrific chat with a very smart, very driven, very cool dude who I’m happy to feature here on the show.
Be sure to check out Josh on Instagram, and keep up with his first store on both Instagram and TikTok.
