Coming to you from Denver Film Festival 2019 (DFF42), is Man Camp, directed by Nate Bakke, written by Daniel Cummings (who also stars), and starring Pete Gardner (who is best known for his work on Crazy Ex-Girlfriend). The movie is a comedy about three brothers who commemorate their dad each year at their cabin, but this year find their mom with her new fiancee. Does he measure up to their dad? The brothers put him to the test.
I sat down with all three and we had a great chat about indie filmmaking, lessons learned, funding, and how to do stunts on a low budget. These guys are fun, engaging, and make for a great chat. This seems like an exceedingly fun movie to have been a part of, and that translates to the screen. Pete in particular is a force of nature, and just one of the funniest dudes I’ve had on this show.
