This week’s guest is former state legislator, former Weld County Commissioner, former owner of a Christmas tree farm, and current Executive Director of FUEL, Bill Jerke.
Bill is someone I’ve had the privilege of working with directly for the last five years, and someone I argue has a keener understanding of the history of agriculture, water, and what makes Colorado successful than virtually anyone I have ever known. He’s a Weld County native, has represented its interest in a variety of forms throughout the years, and just an all-around great guy.
This week’s chat covers his time as an elected official, how one operates a Christmas tree farm, why water is the central issue in almost everything we do economically in this state, and a whole lot more. Anytime you get to pick the brain of someone with the wealth of experience Bill has, you gotta do it.
